Lauren is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Lauren graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition with Honours from Acadia University and then went on to complete her one-year Graduate Dietetic Internship through Dietitians of Canada at the Moncton Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick. Lauren is a member of Dietitians of Canada and is part of the Consulting Dietitians Network.

Lauren has an interest in sports nutrition, oncology, and public health. Lauren has completed research in nutrition meal service evaluation and revision, as well as factors effecting nutritional risk. Lauren has also worked on several initiatives to improve access to healthy food choices in sport recreation facilities in Nova Scotia. Lauren helps to translate scientific nutrition information into practical solutions that fit into clients’ everyday lives.

Lauren recently made the move from Nova Scotia to Ottawa and is looking forward to forming ties in her new community. Lauren has a passion for cooking, baking, and leading an active lifestyle. In her spare time, she enjoys running, practicing yoga, hiking, and dancing.

Our clinic is conveniently located in downtown Ottawa.  Our model is low volume/high contact, meaning you will get plenty of one-on-one time with your clinician.  Our private treatment areas ensure privacy, respect dignity, and facilitate open dialogue with your clinician regarding your health.  Some equipment that we may use in your treatment might include Ultrasound, Interferential Current, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), Acupuncture or Dry Needling, Hot or Cold Packs, Theraband or TheraTubing, Wobble Board, Exercise or Physio Balls.  We are strong proponents of education and exercise recognizing that these are an integral component of a treatment that continues outside the clinic and between appointments.
